I've been in Europe for five days now, and it has been an absolute blast. Something completely new and has put to shame every one of my expectations.
It's been an interesting thing, you know, going to a new and unfamiliar place. All of the sudden moving to another country for five weeks. Entering into this completely new circumstance. Not knowing a single person and the only familiar things being your clothes.
Jesus, I trust You.
It's something that I thought would be new and different for sure. But never did I expect it to be hard.
Expectation one: it will be easy and totally normal to adjust to, broken.
It's hard to enter into something completely unfamiliar. At first, before I was able to really meet people and form real friendships with them, it was a difficult thing. It was easy to feel alone.
"whom have I in Heaven but You." Psalm 73
But God is faithful. "Let us hold fast to the hope that we profess for He who promised IS FAITHFUL."
On the very first night being in London He had already began to teach me. The Lord has shown me that this is not all new and unfamiliar. The surroundings, people, and situations might be different, but HE is with me. He is my ONE HOPE, the one that sustains.
"there is nothing on earth I desire besides You." Psalm 73
Whew, these were some hard lessons and big challenges on the first night. But He is so good and so faithful. He has provided me with great friendships on this trip already! He has heard my prayers and those of my friends and has been faithful and gracious to answer them! I've made great friends and been incredibly blessed with such an encouraging friendship. And it's only day five! I can't imagine.. what does the Lord have in store for me for the month ahead?
Expectation two: it will be awkward and hard to make good friends, broken. After the second day.

How amazing! I loved my time in London. A short three days but we got to see Westminister Abbey, Buckingham Palace, the Bridge Tower, the London Bridge, and more! It was so wonderful. So many sites to see, so much fun to be had. We rented bikes and biked around London probably 12 or so miles, what an adventure in that London traffic.

HOW AMAZING IS THIS.
THIS is my home for the next month of my life. Salzburg, Austria. Maybe the most beautiful place on earth. The birth place of Mozart. The place of where Sound of Music was filmed. How wonderful. These pictures don't do this place justice, I wish you could see it for yourself.
